Study groups are held weekly during the pre-Easter season of Lent, commencing after Ash Wednesday.
In 2017, Lenten Studies will be held on Wednesday evenings, 7:00pm-8:30pm, in our Kath Hall Centre, a well-appointed meeting facility in the Church Office.
The first gathering will be Wednesday 8 March. The theme for the studies this year is "Into the Desert".
These times together will begin with Holy Communion in the style of the Iona Christian Community. We will then share in time of prayer and reflection on the Bible, images and themes of faith inspired by the Australian desert.
There are pop-up study series during the year. Stay tuned for more details
We have also a small library of study and devotional materials available on loan to parishioners.
The Lent season lasts 46 days, starts on Ash Wednesday, ends on Holy Saturday, but the exact dates vary based on the lunar calendar. In 2017 Lent starts on Wednesday 1 March and goes through to the beginning of Holy Week Sunday 9 April. This is good time to reflect on your faith journey and seek to deepen your relationship with God.
