Funeral
Jesus said "I am the resurrection and the life ..."
These words remind us of the hope and confidence we have in the Easter faith of Christianity. The Vicar and parishioners welcome the use of St Silas Church for funeral services in the Anglican tradition. Our funeral and memorial services are an opportunity to thank God for a special life, and so we recall the essence of a life well lived. We also comfort the bereaved and support them in what is usually life’s darkest and toughest time. We ask you to call our locum, Revd Chaplain Soma, on 0403 709 180 or our office on 03 9696 5116 as soon as you and the family are ready. The Vicar is available at any time to offer pastoral care to the dying or bereaved. Our Memorial Garden offers a final resting place for the cremated remains (ashes) of the departed. A beautifully inscribed book, kept in the church, records all who have been interred in this splendidly maintained garden. In addition, should the family wish, small bronze plaques can be installed on the memorial wall. |
