Sunday Suppers welfare program
1. meals each sunday at 4:30 pm
We are still offering meals to those who need them but we are doing it in a different way. Clients are given a meal in a container that they can take away and eat elsewhere. Unfortunately, we can no longer offer a sit down 2 course dinner in the church hall.
Please remember to be mindful of the new social distancing rules. We appreciate your patience during these difficult times. And as always, all are made welcome! A team of volunteers prepares, serves, and cleans up afterwards. About half of our volunteers are parishioners, others are from the local community, and several come from outside the area. It is a rewarding service, and we are always looking for more volunteers. If you'd like to help, please contact our coordinator via email. The program is auspiced by Melbourne Anglican Benevolent Society and the latest annual report can be found here. |

2. emergency relief food parcels: on the first sunday each month at 4:30pm
For Port Phillip residents with a concession card, we offer food parcels, which are given out on the first Sunday of each month from 4.30pm to 5.30pm.
how you can help
1. financial donations
Your support helps us to support others. Financial donations to the Sunday Suppers program are always welcome, with any donation over $2 being tax deductible as our program is auspiced by Melbourne Anglican Benevolent Society.

We are fortunate to receive financial assistance from City of Port Phillip and South Melbourne Community Chest as well 'in-kind' assistance from many local businesses, including Food Filled, Kozminsky, Emerald Hill Cafe and Port Melbourne Community Centre. We are extremely grateful to all these organisations for their contributions.
2. donations of food
These are the suggested items for our food parcels program, if you would like to make a donation:
· baked beans or spaghetti 440g tin
· tinned stew or chunky soup
· instant noodles, especially instant cup noodles
· tinned tuna, salmon or sardines
· tinned fruit
· tea bags and coffee bags
Please note, where possible, purchase tins with a ring pull.
Donations can be placed in the basket at the back of the church on a Sunday morning or contact the parish office to arrange a drop off time during office hours (Monday, Tuesday or Thursday 9.30am to 2.30pm).
